The most comprehensive initiative for the empowerment
of female entrepreneurship in Greece!

Powered by ReGeneration, with the support of the US Embassy in Athens and AB Vassilopoulos, under the guidance of Women On Top.

ReGeneration, with the support of US Embassy in Athens and AB Vassilopoulos present in collaboration for the first time, the ReGeneration FEMpowerment Initiative, a dynamic initiative whose main goal is to substantially promote female entrepreneurship, as well as the personal and professional empowerment of young professionals.

Women are significantly underrepresented in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation in Greece.
According to a recent study by Women on Top & the British Embassy in Athens (March, 2021)“Start-ups with at least one woman on their founding team have raised only 6% of the total funding channeled into the Greek start-up ecosystem, while 62% of women finance their own start-up.” 

The ReGeneration FEMpowerment Initiative contributes to the creation of an inclusive innovation ecosystem that encourages young women to be creative and entrepreneurial, providing them with the support they need to succeed. Through a holistic program of interactive workshops, lectures and specialized training, new female professionals making their first steps in the business world, will acquire the skills necessary to meet the challenges of the modern business scene.

The Program consists of two thematic pillars:

The Academy : specially-designed courses on soft skills in collaboration with LinkedIn Learning, as well as entrepreneurship and capacity-building workshops and mentoring with the valuable guidance of Women on Top .

The Masterclass Series : a leading roster of international speakers, aiming not only to transfer knowledge and experience, but above all, to inspire and motivate the audience.

The Academy is open to female entrepreneurs up to 35 years of age. Applications will remain open from September 13th to the 28th, 2021. For more information and the terms of participation in the Academy visit  www.regeneration.gr

The Masterclass Series is open to all entrepreneurs. They will take place on Thursdays at 19:00 from September 30th to December 16th, 2021. Spots are limited. Please register on www.regeneration.gr.
The declaration of interest will be made through the website of ReGeneration and specifically at xxxx.gr. The number of seats is limited and priority will be given.

About ReGeneration

With a vision to democratize post-university education and career opportunities for young graduates in our country, ReGeneration is the largest employment and training program in Greece. An initiative of the Global Shapers Athens Hub and World Economic Forum, ReGeneration was created with the goal of contributing to youth employment, bridging the skills gap, and combating “brain drain.” The program addresses talented young graduates (up to 29 years old) in a range of specialties with 0 – 3 years of work experience, who strive to stand out as young professionals in Greece. ReGeneration offers participants 6 months (minimum) paid employment at multinational companies and SMEs in Greece, and 32 hours of training with a focus on personal and professional development, as well as mentoring opportunities with renowned market executives. In addition, ReGeneration Academy has offered some 520,000 hours of new skills training in the latest technologies and industries facing a lack of professional talent (ie. Digital Marketing, Data Science, AI, Coding, Supply Chain, Hospitality, AgriFood, Customer Experience). As part of the program, participants also complete 25 volunteer hours supporting select NGOs, amounting to some 17,700 total volunteer hours thus far. To date, ReGeneration has placed over 2,000 young graduates in roles at over 800 participating companies nationwide, and has, through its various programs, offered 440,000 hours of training in soft and digital skills. In addition, some 92% of participants’ contracts are extended beyond the 6-month minimum paid employment, while it is estimated that salaries of young graduates placed through the ReGeneration program thus far have amounted to some 16 million euros.

ReGeneration is a non-profit program supported by: Coca-Cola, The Coca-Cola Foundation, The Hellenic Initiative and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Select partners offering necessary services, know-how and resources to the program include: Arctic Shores, ethelon, Job-Pairs, Mindshare, OTE Academy and RSM Greece.

About Women On Top

Women On Top is a non-profit organization aiming for the professional empowerment of women and for equality at work. It was founded in 2012 by Stella Kasdagli and Pinelopi Theodorakakou, and since then has created and monitored over 830 mentoring partnerships for the benefit of unemployed women, women who want to change their professional career, establish themselves in male-dominated professions, build their own businesses etc. It has also trained over 1200 unemployed, employed, and self-employed women in skills camps offering childcare for any participating mothers.

Moreover, the Women on Top in Business Initiative provides training, consulting, and project management services to businesses and organizations wishing to prioritize the equal representation of women at work, by investing in the diversity and inclusivity of their talent pools and maintaining healthy work/life balances for their employees.

Last but not least, Women On Top has developed a wide communication and content creation platform (including surveys, articles, podcasts, events and more), in order to build powerful networks to further the goal of gender equality, help promote positive and strong female role models, and raise awareness among the general public as well as within decision making bodies. Women On Top aim to tackle the obstacles that women face, even in this day and age, in their equal participation in public life.
