ReGeneration Academy Collaborates with Piraeus Bank

ReGeneration Academy, ReGeneration’s specialized training pillar, serves as the strategic partner of Piraeus Bank’s "Project Future.” Utilizing ReGeneration’s know-how, and recognizing the program’s dynamic progress and its ever-increasing social impact, the first Bank of Greece honors ReGeneration with confidence in designing "Project Future," marking an important milestone for the pioneering paid employment program.

ATHENS – ReGeneration Academy, ReGeneration’s specialized training pillar, serves as the strategic partner of Piraeus Bank’s “Project Future.” Utilizing ReGeneration’s know-how, and recognizing the program’s dynamic progress and its ever-increasing social impact, the first Bank of Greece honors ReGeneration with confidence in designing “Project Future,” marking an important milestone for the pioneering paid employment program.

The new social responsibility program unveiled on Tuesday, October 2nd, seeks to link specialized training with the job market, enabling young graduates to train for sought-after positions in various industries.

 ReGeneration Academy this way meets Piraeus Bank’s vision for the new generation, utilizing its extensive network of partners, jointly seeking to be the change for young graduates looking to join the labor market. 

On behalf of the ReGeneration team, Business Development Director Konstantinos Kintzios said: “Working with the first Bank in Greece is in any case a great honor and a great pleasure. But sharing the same vision, the same passion, and ultimately joining forces with the sole aim to create a better future for the youth of your country, is a reason to smile and continue to offer your services more intensely, with more faith and more passion.” 

With more than 200 companies nationwide having hired almost 600 new graduates, who have had more than 35,000 hours of combined training, ReGeneration and ReGeneration Academy are the largest, in number of participants, employment and training programs in Greece. ReGeneration is a power multiplier for the professional development of young people, welcoming ideas and initiatives that are able to offer added value, aiming to create a better tomorrow for the young people of our country.

About ReGeneration

With a vision to democratize post-university education and career opportunities for young graduates in our country, ReGeneration is the largest employment and training program in Greece. An initiative of the Global Shapers Athens Hub and World Economic Forum, ReGeneration was created with the goal of contributing to youth employment, bridging the skills gap, and combating “brain drain.” The program addresses talented young graduates (up to 29 years old) in a range of specialties with 0 – 3 years of work experience, who strive to stand out as young professionals in Greece. ReGeneration offers participants 6 months (minimum) paid employment at multinational companies and SMEs in Greece, and 72 hours of training with a focus on personal and professional development, as well as mentoring opportunities with renowned market executives. As part of the program, participants also complete 25 volunteer hours supporting select NGOs. ReGeneration is a non-profit program supported by: Coca-Cola, The Coca-Cola Foundation, The Hellenic Initiative and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Select partners offering necessary services, know-how and resources to the program include: Arctic Shores, ethelon, Job-Pairs, kariera.gr, Mindshare, Deloitte, OTE Academy and RSM Greece.   

About the Global Shapers Community

The Global Shapers community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF), the international non-profit organization based in Switzerland and consisting of a network of Hubs, one of which is also in Athens. The Global Shapers Athens Hub was launched in September 2011, with the aim of acting as a liaison between the WEF, the business and science community, non-profit organizations and young people under the age of 30 with special skills, encouraging them to join forces to achieve common social goals related to youth employment, entrepreneurship, and smart, sustainable and inclusive economic growth and volunteering in Greece.
